Where were you when the Packers won the Super Bowl? Here's what the Van Overmeer family did:
- At 4:00 p.m., when most people were going to their parties, we were getting ready to drop Alstan off at the Wasley's house.
- By 5:00 p.m. Jessie was being wheeled down for surgery.
- Right around 5:30 p.m. Dad went into the operating room with Jessie.
- At 5:43 p.m. Elsie had arrived in the world.
- Elsie and Dad (and a nurse or two) spent the next hour bonding.
- Jessie came back in the room to hold her daughter at 7:00 p.m.
- By 7:15, when most were on their second brat, Dad started making phone calls to friends and family.
- Before 8:00 Elsie had her first meal and was done having vitals taken.
- Around 8:30 we took Elsie's first photos.
- At 9:30, just after the Super Bowl had ended, Dad picked up Alstan to go home.
What a night!
Good thing she wasn't born during the NCAA basketball finals! Thanks for posting lots of photos.
