Cleaning

Alstan has really taken an interest in cleaning (which I am really hoping lasts). He sweeps, cleans up tables with paper towels, and vacuums with the "baby vacuum". I don't know where he learned all this stuff from because since he has been born Jessie and I have been horrible at cleaning the house.

Sorry for the delay, but there are several more pictures scheduled. Actually two a day for the next four days for all four or five of our avid readers.

Bath Time

Elsie is getting another bath. Her hair gets greasy after just one day and it looks like she has parents who don't bath her. She really likes getting her hair washed, and looks like a relaxed young lady at a spa. She does not like the rest of the bath though.

Daddy's Girl

There must be something for Elsie in here!

Alstan emptied his entire toy box the other night. It appears he was looking for the pacifier that was at the bottom of it. What a good big brother. Always looking out for little sister.

Dad's Favorite Moments

Dad is just enjoying his children, while Alstan continues his fascination with Elsie's nose and letting her suck on his finger.

"My burp baby"

Alstan grabbed the burp rag, put it over his shoulder and said "my burp baby". Here he is burping his baby sister.

Packer Backers

Dad's alliance is still with the Lions, but it seems his children are being swayed toward the home team. The hat that Elsie is wearing was given to us by the hospital, since she was born during the Super Bowl. It is hard to see, but there is a Gold "G" on it.

Sharing

Aunt Nette came down for an extended weekend to help out with Elsie while mom couldn't do stairs yet. (Sorry for the sleep deprivation, but thanks so much for the help.)
Here Alstan is trying to show Elsie his new cars and let her play with them. In a few years this picture may look a lot different.

$4 Investment

Dad took Alstan shopping on Friday to give mom a break. He let Alstan pick out this "Mater" toy to go with his "race car" he got for Christmas. It was amazing to see the difference in Alstan's behavior after that. He no longer obsessed about being on mom's lap, but has spent hours playing with his Mater and Race Car. (Perfect solution for only $4)

More Visitors

Grandma Z, Tammy, and Tracey all came down to visit on Saturday. Janette has been here since Thursday too, but we don't have a picture with her yet. We'll get a picture of them together soon.

At Home

This is my favorite picture of Elsie so far. She's got her eyes wide open. She likes to sleep in Mom's arms at night instead of a bed so I tried putting her on the floor for a bit before we had more visitors.

Visitors

Sandy, Antoinette, and Wyverna came down on Thursday for a quick visit. Elsie slept through most of the visit even with all the noise from the girls and Alstan.

Coming Home

Here we are getting ready to go home. Of course as soon as I got Elsie in the car seat she went to the bathroom. So Jessie got a second try in strapping her in. They even let Jessie walk out of the hospital this time. It was frigidly cold on Thursday so we didn't take any pictures getting home.

Flying

It can't all be about Elsie. Here is Alstan flying with Aunt Tracey.

Little Feet

Here are some pictures from when we were still at the hospital. Alstan remains very curious of his little sister and likes to talk to her. We left on Thursday around 11 a.m. and have been home since. I'll be posting several times over the next day.

Feeding

Alstan is helping feed Elsie. We are supplimenting a bit right now as Elsie is a hungry little girl. She gulps down the formula from the bottle super quick. Alstan enjoyed helping too, although the bottle kind of got jammed into Elsie's mouth. Alstan even helped burp her.

Mom, Elsie, and Alstan

Alstan and Elsie

Alstan has been such a helpful big brother so far. Last night he got a sticker that said, "I'm a Big Brother" from the nurses too. We stuck it on his dresser to keep. Last night when we were going to go for a walk and Alstan heard Elsie crying he said, "help Momma". He wanted to go back and help Elsie stop crying.

Close Up

Visitors

Aunt Carrie came down with Elsie's cousins for a first peak. Elsie was pretty exhausted though, and slept through most of the visit.

Big Kiss

Alstan giving his little sister a big kiss on the forehead. Later he knocked her around a little bit when he tried to fix her hat like Dad did. He was just trying to be helpful though.
