Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Zielicke

It is time for a visit to the farm! Aunt Carrie and her family came over for the day too. 

Finally Fully Vaccinated!

Mom, Dad and Aunt Nette are all fully vaccinated, so we finally felt comfortable having a sleepover. You can see how happy Alstan and Elsie are to be able to give their Auntie a hug!

Happy Easter!

Thank goodness for another beautiful day. Aunt Nette joined us for Easter dinner outside. Shortly into our meal we were also joined by a bunch of hornets/bees. Alstan finished his meal in the house, while Elsie, mom and Aunt Nette cautiously finished their meals outside. We later moved to the backyard and cove for drinks and chatting. Poor dad was not feeling 100%, so he spent a large portion of the day inside.



We finished off the day with an egg hunt! We all had to help look long and hard for the last egg, but we found them all.

Easter Egg Dyeing

We dyed our eggs outside this year so Aunt Nette could join us. Aunt Carrie and Uncle Garret joined us on a zoom, so we could all get in the Easter spirit together. It was so fun chatting together and sharing the excitement of dyeing!

One-on-One Day!

Elsie has been saving up her money for months so she could have a shopping one-on-one day with mom. 

Of course Alstan needed one more Legos Star Wars set for his day.

The boys finished off their day with some rock climbing.

The girls finished their day off with some Noodles & Company.

Spring Break Project

Dad and the kids decided to make some shelves for mom in the clay room. Now she’ll have a space to put glazes! Thanks guys!

Alstan is Turning 12

We celebrated Alstan’s birthday yesterday, since we have school on his birthday. Elsie was able to have the full day celebrating her birthday, of course, Alstan also wanted a full day rather than just an evening. It just so happened that Aunt Megann and Tim were in the area visiting. We met at Governor Dodge for a hike!

First Grill-out of the Year

Elsie chose to have mug cakes for her birthday so Aunt Nette could have cake with us even though we weren’t together in-person. Grandma Zielicke makes a quilt for each of the grandkids for their tenth birthday. Good thing she planned ahead to get it here in the fall.

Snow Day

School was called off due to snow today, so we thought we would make it a game day!

PlayDoh Party

Alstan and Elsie missed being able to spend time with their little cousins this year. They both decided to spend some of their money to buy the girls birthday presents. Since Alstan gave Adalynn playdoh, they all had a zoom PlayDoh party.

Game Maker

Alstan has gotten into making board games. Usually he makes them in black and white, but he decided to add color for this one. This is the first one he made a box for as well. The games generally follow the movies or books he’s into: Jurassic World, Star Wars and Wings of Fire.

New Year’s Eve

Elsie received some cake decorating supplies for Christmas so of course she had to try them out for New Year’s Eve. We just had to drop off a couple to Aunt Nette this morning so we could share them during a zoom tonight. So, here’s to a new year!
