Enjoying a Holiday Movie

The kids had never seen the movie “Home Alone”, so here they are watching it for the first time. They were a little nervous about the first half, but really enjoyed the second half.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Look at our busy little elves getting ready for the holidays. They did most of the decorating themselves this year. Mom was able to put a handful of ornaments on the tree and put up the nutcrackers at the direction of Alstan and Elsie.

Happy Thanksgiving

Adam and the kids were in charge of the turkeys this year. They did a great job!








So I guess it is only fair that they each claimed a drumstick.

Gymnastic Meet

Elsie participated in the fall gymnastics meet yesterday. It was neat to see the improvement from last time. She said she had a good time!

Putting on a Play

I guess they are ready for the holiday season; they were putting on a play about Chippey the Elf.

Snow!!

The kids were so excited to wake up and see snow in the ground! They got themselves ready for school early so they would have time to play in it. Knowing that it would probably be gone by noon, they made the most of it in the morning. I would not have thought there was enough snow for sledding, but they managed!

Happy Halloween

The kids decided to Trick-r-Treat with the neighbor kid this year. They started with the MP parade and then walked down to the historic Shake Rag Alley before hitting our own neighborhood.

Pumpkin Carving

Yes, we are a little later than normal with our pumpkin carving this year. It has been a rather busy fall I guess. We did make it before Halloween though!

Elsie's New Gymnastics Move

Fall Harvest Festival

The historic Galloway House and Village in Fond du Lac hosted a Princess Fall Festival this past weekend. Check out our Minion and Mal from Decedents! There were a couple of little kids totally into the Minion... Alstan wasn’t quite sure how to react to the extra attention. They had a blast trick-r-treating with their little cousin “Anna”.

Aunt Nette’s Moving Day

Elsie was off to a play date, while the rest of the family helped Aunt Nette move into her condo.

Homecoming Parade

We didn’t do a whole lot for Homecoming this year, but the kids did walk in the parade.

Platteville M

It ended up being a beautiful start to fall this weekend. We walked up the Platteville “M” today and enjoyed a hike and a bit of climbing. On our way home we stopped at the site of the first territorial capital of Wisconsin, in Belmont.

Full Saturday

We started our day off with Alstan’s soccer game. They won their game, so that feels good!








After lunch we did some fossil hunting. We found both pieces to a rather large one! We were all pretty excited about that. Aunt Nette also found the one below that is just loaded with fossils!





We then stopped by the Fennimore Toy Museum. Elsie was excited to see the huge display of Barbies of almost every color! While it was not a huge toy collection, it was quite interesting. They had a range of toys from the late 1800’s to present day.


Finally, a trip to Gays Milks to check out the apple orchards!
