6-12 Month Video

Door Knob

Here is Alstan opening and closing the pantry door last week. Good thing he's short and can't reach door knobs yet!

First Shiner!

Alstan got his first shiner tonight. He slipped and fell hitting the coffee table. After crying for a few minutes he went back to playing though. Unfortunately, it took Mom a little bit longer to recover so he had to give her a kiss to let her know it was all okay.

Cruisin'

Alstan in his new ride! It finally got assembled and Alstan loves it. He spent most of Monday night either getting pushed around or getting in and out of the car. He pushes it backwards on his own, but not forward. We figured he'd like it, as every time he sees one similar to those in the mall he would reach out his arm and go "shsh, shsh", which in Alstan means he really wants it.

Center of Attention

Here's Alstan right before bed sitting right in the middle of the table as his Aunties and Mom sit and watch him try to get his socks back on. He knows his feet are supposed to get into the socks, but he's not quite sure how to get them in. If you try to help and put his sock part way on he thinks it's fun to pull it back off.

Farm Boy

I'm not sure if it will work or not, but Grandpa Zielicke is trying very hard to make Alstan a farm boy. Now Jeff and Tracey are buying him toy tractors. I don't think it'll be long until Alstan is riding on one of those tractors.

Girl Scout Cookies

Alstan sure did like his thin mints. Since it's March, Dad may have been peaking at a basketball game for one of pictures.

Liquids

I didn't want to put drinking as the title, but here is Alstan drinking out of a water bottle. He loves to try to drink out of adult glasses, cups, and bottles. He is also drinking cows milk now that he's over one year old. It took him a little while, but he seems to like it okay now.

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures

It's been a while since the last update, but I'll get a bunch of pictures up tonight. I haven't done much with video, but I plan to do more video on our spring break next week.

This is a picture of Alstan trying to put his hat on. He loves throwing things over his head or on it, which means we have to make sure we pick up our dirty laundry quickly!

The Park

Here are lots of photos of Alstan playing at the park for the first time. He loved the slide and went back over and over again. He liked the swing too, but didn't want to stay on it too long. The Merry-Go-Round he liked to push it himself better than ride on it. The funny thing is in the house he finds every pebble we miss sweeping and puts it in his mouth, but at a playground filled with pea gravel he never grabbed for a single rock the whole time (so if there are lots of pebbles on the ground Alstan doesn't notice any of them. hmmm. I guess Dad will be sweeping even less than before:)

Beautiful Day

It was such a beautiful day here on Sunday that we all got outside. I pumped up Alstan's tires before he went for a walk with Mom. Dad went for his first bike ride of the season.

Dressed Up

Here's Alstan in his tie shirt. It lasted for about 3 hours and then lunch happened. Boy is that an adventure now. His food often ends up everywhere, and occasionally it even lands in his mouth!

Collage

I've been kind of slow getting video up, but here are some images again. I am teaching a college class this weekend and wanted to check out this new little program. Pretty cool I think. You can scroll through the collage at your own pace and find hot spots where I added little messages.

PreBirthday Video

Here's a little video with some of the new things Alstan is doing like drinking out of a water bottle, waving, and clapping his hands. See if you can find the video where he's filling a diaper!
