Babysitting!

Today we were asked to babysit the girls at Aunt Nette’s house. This looks about right!

State Street Stroll

Dad bought some glasses online, so we had to head to State Street to get them adjusted. He ended up returning them, but it gave us a good reason to stroll through a couple of the shops. What beautiful weather we had too… switched from snow to sleet and back again a few times.

Getting Ready for the Holiday Season

I know it is early, but there is not another nice weekend in the forecast, so lights go up today. It seems there is a bit of a friendly battle about when we can start playing holiday music in our house. They made an agreement to only play it while setting up the lights and the lights cannot be turned on until after Thanksgiving.

Carving Pumpkins

Tonight we did Alstan’s favorite Halloween tradition: carving pumpkins! We almost didn’t get this one in this year, but we made it before Halloween.

Fall Harvest/Halloween Party

Elsie spent weeks planning for her favorite Halloween tradition: a Harvest/Halloween party with her cousins. Alstan is always game for the idea too!

MPMS Pancake Breakfast Concert

followed by a wonderful hike at Governor Dodge. We have really had some beautiful fall weather our last few weekends!

Elsie’s 1st Day at IGEMS

Elsie is now a Panther. We are now a family of 2 Panthers and 2 Pointers.

She went to school with Adam last Friday to walk around, meet a couple teachers and set up her locker.

Last Middle School Cross Country Meet

Alstan had his final Cross Country meet this weekend. They had the final Middle School meet at Weyauwega which is on the other side of the state. We ended up staying at Grandma and Grandpa Zielicke’s the night before and bringing them along to his race. His youngest cousin was also there to cheer him on.

Hair Salon

Alstan was super patient with his little cousin while she styled his hair. The style didn’t stay long, but she had fun all the same.

Day in Gays Mills

This was our weekend to head to Gays Mills for honey crisp. We also took time to enjoy the beautiful fall day and of course the sunflower maze.

Cross Country Meets

This was from Alstan’s first meet in Boscobel.

These two photos are from his second meet in Spring Green. He has run quite close times to a boy from Lancaster at both meets. The first one Alstan pulled ahead at the finish, but this time the other boy pulled ahead. He is Alstan’s target to beat now. 

Labor Day Weekend

Alstan was supposed to have his first Cross Country meet on Saturday, but it ended up getting canceled due to storms. Mom and the kids decided to head to the farm for the rest of the weekend.
