Another Photo Remake

This set of photos is only five years apart, but how things have changed. And yet, some things stay the same. They still love hanging out with their auntie.

Elsie’s 1st Day at IGEMS

Elsie is now a Panther. We are now a family of 2 Panthers and 2 Pointers.

She went to school with Adam last Friday to walk around, meet a couple teachers and set up her locker.

Last Middle School Cross Country Meet

Alstan had his final Cross Country meet this weekend. They had the final Middle School meet at Weyauwega which is on the other side of the state. We ended up staying at Grandma and Grandpa Zielicke’s the night before and bringing them along to his race. His youngest cousin was also there to cheer him on.

Hair Salon

Alstan was super patient with his little cousin while she styled his hair. The style didn’t stay long, but she had fun all the same.

Day in Gays Mills

This was our weekend to head to Gays Mills for honey crisp. We also took time to enjoy the beautiful fall day and of course the sunflower maze.

Cross Country Meets

This was from Alstan’s first meet in Boscobel.

These two photos are from his second meet in Spring Green. He has run quite close times to a boy from Lancaster at both meets. The first one Alstan pulled ahead at the finish, but this time the other boy pulled ahead. He is Alstan’s target to beat now. 

Labor Day Weekend

Alstan was supposed to have his first Cross Country meet on Saturday, but it ended up getting canceled due to storms. Mom and the kids decided to head to the farm for the rest of the weekend.

Elsie had a chance to help grandpa make butter.

2 Middle Schoolers

Mineral Point had their first day of school today. It is hard to believe we have two middle schoolers.

Quick Trip to Chicago

The last time we were here, mom held Alstan for a picture in front of Sue. Times have changed.





And… of course, a stop at the American Girl Doll Store.

Extended Stay

We had originally driven up to the farm to celebrate Darien’s graduation party. While we were there, grandpa informed us that they were making cottage cheese pie the next day. We stayed an extra day to hang out with Carrie’s girls and help make pies!

Day at the Zoo

Alstan and Elsie spent a few days with Aunt Nette while mom and dad celebrated their anniversary. For one of the days they met up with Aunt Carrie and her girls for a trip to the Henry Vilas Zoo!

Makeup Party

Alstan and dad are not big fans of waiting for Elsie to finish shopping at Claire’s, so she was super happy to be able to spend an hour in there with her cousins without being rushed. Since Carrie’s girls chose to spend their money on some new makeup kits, a makeup party was in order for Saturday morning!

Girls’ Hair Day

Today the girls got together with Aunt Carrie and her girls and Aunt Nette to all get their hair done at the salon.

Pipestone

While visiting grandma and grandpa Van, we drive out to Pipestone, Minnesota and learned about some Native American traditions revolving around the quarries.
