Water Fight

Alstan and Elsie set up a water fight with their friends from Lisa’s and Lisa’s grandchildren. The lawn may have been as happy for the water fight as the kids.

Pamper Day

Elsie wanted a pamper day before leaving for vacation. This is her first experience with face mask.

First Camping Trip of the Year

Dad’s school year ran later than Mineral Point’s this year, so mom and the kids decided to enjoy some tent camping. Alstan picked our site, and we all agreed it was a winner.

Friends Play Date

Elsie and her friend from Lisa’s set up a playdate for today. 

Bonfire for lunch?

Our fire was so big last night that it still had enough embers to start another fire. We ended up having another bonfire for lunch.

Happy Birthday Dad

To celebrate dad and Aunt Nette’s birthday, Elsie made and decorated them a cake. Since grandpa has been saving a pile of wood for a bonfire, we decided to head to the farm to celebrate.

Summer Monday!

Today is our first Monday of summer vacation. Aunt Nette had the day off work too, so we thought it was the perfect day for lunch by the lake. It just so happened that there was an ice cream shop on the other side of the block. What better way to start the summer.

Tie Dyeing Camping Shirts

Good morning!

Aunt Carrie is making the kids matching shirts for camping later this summer. They are each personalizing their shirt with tie-dye.

We had a full fun weekend! We also had some pretty tired children by the end.

Happy 40th Aunt Carrie

Aunt Carrie turned forty this week! Since all three of us were fully vaccinated, we thought it was high time we enjoyed a spa day and dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.





A special bonus: Alstan and Elsie were able to have a sleepover with their cousins!

Last Day of School!

Alstan’s load looks a bit lighter than his first day of sixth grade. It’s hard to believe his first year of middle school is over.

Elsie had the day off since the elementary had to be completely emptied to allow the summer construction to begin. Her last day was Wednesday, but she had to help mom empty the art room yesterday. She is excited to say she is now in the oldest class in the elementary.

Glasses

Alstan is getting glasses...mostly just for reading or up close work.
