Cake decorating

Alstan drew out the plan for a candy land cake this year. Alstan and Elsie also helped decorate their cake. At least they started to, before they became distracted by the idea of playing with their auntie.

Alstan's Field Trip

Alstan's class walked to the local fire station today. He came back with all sorts of goodies, including this hat. He played fireman for a bit tonight!

Dinosaur TV

School was cancelled yesterday due to extreme low temperatures. Alstan, Elsie and mom made their own TV to watch a movie about dinosaurs. Alstan was so excited he could barely stand in one place while we finished setting it up.

Alstan's 1st Documentary

Alstan has really been into recording videos on the ipod lately. Here he recorded Elsie helping dad fix the hole in the wall.

Fixing Day

Dad and the kids had a fixing day yesterday. Alstan and Elsie had fun helping dad make a list of things that needed to be fixed around the house. Alstan had a ton of fun being dad's right-hand man. Elsie got into for a bit too!

Making Books!

Elsie is trying out her new art smock mom just made her.

Alstan and Elsie were busy making their own books tonight. They did a great job! Elsie drew princess snowman pictures, while Alstan wrote and "illustrated" his own book about what snowmen do at night. (Definitely a keepsake!)

Helping Dad Make Biscuits

This is very late, but here are some photos from New Years Eve. We made a special little dinner with shrimp and Red Lobster Cheese Biscuits. Here the kids are helping with the biscuit making.
