Pooped after all the celebrating

Elsie was enjoying her party to the fullest, but she couldn't resist sleep after a cup of warm chocolate milk. This gave Aunt Tammy a little bit of cuddle time.

Farm Birthday

Here are some additional photos from Alstan and Elsie's birthday party. Since their party was planned for the day after their cousin Aidan's birthday, they all celebrated with cake together.

Triceratops

Alstan got a toy triceratops for his birthday.  Check out the video to see what he named!  It got a few good laughs, which annoyed Alstan a lot.

We celebrated Alstan and Elsie's birthday together at the farm this weekend.  It was a very nice celebration.  Both kids got lots of new toys.

Visiting with Brittany

Recently Aunt Megann and Brittany stopped out for a visit. Alstan and Elsie really enjoyed their visitors. They both spent time coloring with them, but mom didn't get the camera out until the end.

Candy Store

Yesterday mom, Alstan and Elsie went to Madison to get decorations for their birthday cakes and hang out with Aunt Nette. One of our stops was the candy store on State Street. We found a cute little corner with a window seat to enjoy our candy and frozen yogurt. To top everything a firetruck drove by!

Sleeping in the Trampoline

Alstan found an alternative use for his trampoline. He told dad he wanted to sleep in it all night, but he got a little nervous and changed his mind when he woke up and didn't see anyone around.

Artist at Work

Mom gets all excited about the kiddos coloring when she gets out all the crayons and markers. The kiddos would rather play "pick up sticks" with them.

Store

Here Alstan and Elsie are playing store together.  Elsie is the shopper and Alstan is the store clerk.  They love to play store and when we go to a restaurant they always help pay.  Elsie usually carries the check and Alstan carries the credit card or cash.

Potty

Elsie has been working on going potty and now she is helping her baby go on the potty too!  She's a very big girl, and likes to do whatever her brother does.

Here is a before and after of Alstan bouncing.  We broke down and got Alstan a trampoline when Elsie spent most of the week being sick.  We couldn't get him outside and he was bouncing off the walls.  Now he's bouncing off the trampoline!  We're going to move it downstairs eventually, but in the meantime it fills up our study.  He bounces and watches Dad on the computer or has conversations with Mom as he just bounces and bounces.

Playin' with the Aunties

Alstan and Elsie had fun getting some extra help in their building.  As you can see, Elsie is becoming an advanced block stacker!  Alstan loves to take scrap wood from the basement area and create new things.  I think this eventually became a ship!

Cheese!

Elsie loves to say cheese to the camera now, as you can see in these photos.  They also love taking care of their friends.  Alstan always wants Mom or Dad to talk in their Mickey voice for his play.  Elsie likes to go around with her baby throughout the house.  She walks her, feeds her, and wraps her in blankets.

Sleeping

Alstan and Elsie haven't been the only ones sleeping in I guess.  The blog hasn't been updated in nearly a month!  We'll have a few sets of pictures this week to try to correct it.

In the morning when Mom gets up to exercise and shower the kids and Dad often climb in bed together to sneak out a few more moments of sleep.  here the kids ended up cuddling together.  A picture their parents are sure to pull out again when they are teens.
