Busy Barns Adventure Farm

Last weekend we went to a children's farm near Aunt Nette. It was raining and a bit cold, so we didn't stay too long. There was lots more to do, but we had a great time with just what we did. We will have to try again next year.

Elsie's First Video

I'm way overdue on getting a video out of our little Elsie. We've had a bit of struggle convincing Elsie that food is a good thing. It seems like she's started to turn the corner and is eating a little bit now, although this video may jinx that.

Alstan's Mile Race

Last weekend we went to visit Aunt 'Nette in Fort Atkinson. Alstan ran in his second race, this time a mile long! He finished in just over 16 minutes and was the only kid racing in diapers.

Homecoming Parade

This past week Mineral Point had their homecoming. Mom took Alstan and Elsie to the parade. Although you couldn't tell it by this photo, I think they both had a great time.

Second Weekend at Peck's West

(We are a week late with these photos, but I thought I should get them up now, since there are a ton of pictures from this weekend coming.)
Last weekend we went to the other Peck's Farmer's Market (West). There was a lot more play areas there and animals to feed. We ended up driving to Peck's East for the bouncy house though. Alstan can just never get enough of the animals.

Elsie's Turn

Alstan couldn't have all the fun flying the plane. There are actually two pilots chairs in the plane so Elsie and Dad sat in one while Alstan's was in the other. Elsie was very interested in steering.

On our way to Spring Green we stopped by the Don Q Inn to see the old airplane. Alstan has been here a couple of times already, but it never gets old. It's kind of hard to see, but he's in the cockpit driving.

Elsie is getting to the age where she just loves interacting with her brother. It is so much fun to watch them together.

Peck's Petting Zoo

Last weekend we went to the Peck's East farmer's market and petting zoo. Alstan loved it. It has so many of his favorite things: jumping house, animals, tractors, horse drawn wagon rides, train rides and his very own shopping cart. He almost couldn't control himself when dad suggested we go to Peck's West this weekend.

It seems that most things in Alstan's world have something to do with the farm. Here he took the rug from under dad's computer chair and made a "barn". He put his farm animals in with him at one point.

Alstan thought wearing his bib like all the other kids wasn't much fun. His shirt proves that his way isn't quite as effective though.

Bath time at Grandma & Grandpa's

Mom and dad forgot to bring Elsie's duck bathtub, so we had to give Alstan and Elsie their bath together. As you can guess Alstan was pretty thrilled to have his sister in the tub with him. He didn't even play with the toys we put in for him.
