Cookie Making

Alstan and Mom made cookies on our long weekend. Now we have lots and lots of cookies to go along with a little bit of Halloween candy that we'll get tomorrow. I'm sure Alstan loves all the sugar, but it's killing Dad's diet!

Here are a couple of the pictures Molly Weier took of us as a family enjoying the fall weather.

Here is an update on where Alstan's drawing/coloring skills are at this point. He is rather selective about where to leave his marks though. Greeting cards are no longer an option for him. He prefers a large sheet of paper with room to move.

More Being Silly

Here's another video of Alstan running around and being silly. You can here him saying, "DaDa, Where are you?" That's what Mom taught him while shopping. I taught him to go through the store saying, "Jessie!"

Under the Table

Here's an older video of Alstan walking under the table. He would duck his head as he went through. Lately, he's been crawling under the table instead of walking. I guess he must have hit his head a few too many times.

Running Bag

Here Alstan is checking out Mom's running bag. She's had a hat for Alstan and glide stick so your skin doesn't stick. As you can see, Alstan decided to wear the hat and he was using the glide stick like deodorant.

All the things he likes to do now that he won't do when he's a teenager: Mow the lawn, do dishes, take a bath, and use deodorant.

Blocks

Here are some pictures of Alstan playing with blocks or at least the container that the blocks go in. He likes to scatter the blocks across the living room or knock down the creations made by Mom and Dad. Apparently he does the same thing at daycare. This summer when I went to pick up Alstan two of the older girls said, "Alstan's Dad is FINALLY here!" Alstan had been knocking down their creations every time they tried to build it.

Toe Coloring

Alstan decided last week that it would be a good idea to try coloring with his toes instead of his hands. He really is able to color with toes too, and when we sit down to color now he wants to pull off his shoes and socks right away. We've been wondering since he was born if he was going to be a lefty or righty, but we should have been wondering if he was going to use his patties or feeties.

Fiesta Cancun Walk

After we go to Fiesta Cancun, usually as a reward to Mom for making it through the week, we go on a walk up the trail. It's one of our favorite family walks. Alstan points out all the things on the trail he knows like rocks, trees, sticks, water, bridge, leaves, sky, and up hill.

Dad's Shoes

Here is Alstan cruising around in Dad's shoes. He can get around in them pretty well, but usually every time we grab a camera he jumps out of them to go after the camera.

New Baby

Here are the first pictures of the new baby. We don't have much for patience, so we tried to have them find out the sex. They weren't positive, but it looks like number two will be a girl.

I want at least 5 name ideas in the comments before I put up a new post! :)

Fall Day

We're getting family pictures taken this week, but here is one of the family as we went into the zoo. You can see the baby starting to make her appearance too!

Pumpkin Painting

Of course Mom was very excited to have Alstan design his first pumpkin. I must have subconsciously chose all pictures of him using his left hand though, because he has actually been using his right hand more with coloring and eating. I think he's going to be a righty, but he does still use both hands a lot.

For the next batch of pictures, I'll make sure that Jessie is in some. She is starting to show now. Our first ultrasound is on October 8th!

Pumpkin

Last weekend we went to Gay's Mills during the Apple Fest. Unfortunately, we forgot the camera, but here is the pumpkin that Alstan picked out. At the Apple Fest, Alstan saw lots of his favorite things: carousels, fire trucks, horses, pigs, pumpkins, and motorcycles.
