Band

Mom and Alstan finished off their one-on-one day with Alstan’s first band lesson. He is excited to start playing the french horn.

One-on-One Day

Good thing we can safely be outdoors for our one-on-one days. Although Elsie has been looking forward to shopping in Target since before the lock down. Dad decided that if they got there right away when it opened and they made sure they weren’t in there for too long, they should be ok. Elsie could hardly sleep the night before. Mom and Alstan decided to hike the Platteville M.

Beach Day!

By going during the week, we were able to have a day at the beach without big crowds. It was great to do something that felt like a normal summer activity.

Alstan’s Vase with a Face

Visit with Grandma & Grandpa Van

This is how Alstan and Elsie spent their visit with their grandparents. Since we couldn’t visit in our usual fashion, we all hung out in the garage watching the kids put together their Lego sets.

Dog Training

Alstan and Elsie signed up for dog training through 4-H this year. They are having fun working with the dogs they are borrowing from the 4-H Dog Program Director even though they probably won’t take part in the actual fair event. It is so fun watching them with their dogs. They are  learning how to give commands and then making sure their dogs follow through.

4th of July

To keep away from the potential crowds, we decided to see if we could see the fireworks from our back yard. It may become our new tradition.

Doctor Elsie

Fortunately for mom, Elsie enjoys changing Alstan’s bandage. She says she wants to be a pediatrician when she grows up, so I guess this will come in handy.
