Fall Hike

It has been such a rainy fall, but we squeezed in a hike on Saturday. After climbing to the top of the Platteville M, we hiked around on a new path and did a Little Rock climbing!

Walking to School

This morning mom had an early morning dentist appointment that meant the kids had to go to school on their own. This was the first time letting them walk to school by themselves. They were all excited, while mom watched until she couldn’t see them anymore.

Honey crisps are Ready!

After Alstan’s soccer game, we made a stop over at the Sutter Ridge Farm for some apples. Once you’re there, you just have to stay for the fun!

To help Elsie with her sewing project, mom modeled what to do on an apron for herself. Now they can do their baking as twinsies!

1st Year at the Fair

Alstan and Elsie decided to join 4-H this year. Part of our duties as a 4-H family was to work the concession stand for two hours during the fair. Dad and the kids did a great shop of running the donut stand portion! The kids had a good first year exhibiting with Alstan entering a ceramic dinosaur and photos of animals from our trip to Costa Rica and Elsie entering baked cookies and an apron she sewed.

This is what we came home to. We found ourselves entertained for some time just watching them work.
