On our way home from the Zielicke Family Christmas we stopped at the Henry Vilas Zoo to check out their lights display. It was a fun walk through the zoo and a carousel ride!

Here are just a few highlight moments from our trip.

Short Trip to Disney

We made it! Now we’re off to our resort. It felt so nice to be someplace warm, but it felt even better when we found out that the temperature back home was 0 with the wind chill. Brrrr.





Our first meal was at the T-Rex cafe in Disney Springs. The dinosaurs would move a bit and make noises. The lights would dim from time to time to imitate meteor showers. The kids would look forward to the meteor showers.

Thanksgiving 2

This is Adam, and I haven't posted in years, but I thought it was important to let our few, loyal readers know that Jessie was at Thanksgiving too!

Holiday Baking

We were a bit overzealous with our holiday baking this past weekend. With being gone next week, we tried to do almost all our cookie making this weekend. The kids were getting really creative with their cookie designs!

Black Friday

Alstan and Elsie volunteered to bell ring through their 4-H group this year. It was a little cold and damp, but otherwise not too bad.

After lunch they went it together to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Setting up our Tree

Due to the short holiday season this year and the predicted crummy weather next weekend, we decided to put up our tree early. The kids are getting old enough that they do almost all the decorating by themselves now.

Dinner Train

Grandma and Grandpa Zielicke celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this weekend! To help celebrate, the whole family met in Trego to ride the Wisconsin Great Northern Railway. We had dinner on the train, while it drove out on an hour long loop. I think both the kids really enjoyed riding the train and dinner, but their real highlight may have been playing with their cousins.

4-H Leaders

At the last 4-H meeting Alstan and Elsie were voted into leadership roles. Alstan was elected as the Historian and Elsie as a co-sunshine member.

Trick-r-treating

It looked more like Christmas than Halloween. We were glad the kids’ costumes were able to be layered, and we still didn’t stay out long.
