Silly Putty

Dad found us a recipe to make silly putty to help entertain our kiddos. It ended up being pretty entertaining for all of us.

Elsie's Princess Tea Party

Elsie has been waiting for her princess party since the end of May. Finally, her big day has arrived! We started our picnic on the lawn, but had to move to the porch due to rain. Of course, it only rained long enough for us to move everything and then it stopped. The afternoon was topped off for Elsie when her big brother showed up with a rose for her.

Scavenger Hunt

Alstan has been asking mom to do a scavenger hunt that dealt the five senses ever since he saw it on a Dino Dan episode. Since we were having a princess tea party on Saturday for Elsie, we put together a scavenger hunt for Friday evening. It ended in a tasty treat.

Rewey Fireworks

Alstan was trying out one of the bouncy houses at the Rewey Fireworks.

Movie Day

Today we went to see Planes - Fire and Rescue. Elsie wasn't too interested, but Alstan loved it. He got the idea to make his own movie, so when we got home he put me to work. Here is Alstan's first feature film presentation!

Dane County Fair

Yesterday was Children's Day at the fair, so we got up early and spent the day there.

Governor Dodge

Elsie had a little fever this week so "the boys" went out adventuring. We hiked, climbed, and picnicked for 5 hours. 

Alstan also got his first bee sting (under the nose) at the top of a ledge we just climbed. It was too steep to carry him, so he climbed down on his own. The good news is he is not allergic to bee stings. He actually swells up more to a mosquito bite!

This morning Alstan was so proud to make mom breakfast in bed. He and dad worked together to give mom and Elsie a wonderful surprise breakfast.

Today is supposed to get quite hot, so grandpa thought he'd get Alstan & Elsie outside this morning. As you can see, they thought this was a good idea.
