New Haircut

Elsie's first picture with her new haircut.
On the 13th Elsie had her one year check up. She was in the 39th percentile for length at about 29" and the 12th percentile for weight at about 18lb. 11oz.

Last Sunday mom finally had the nerve to give Elsie her first hair cut. It was hard to see her long hair go, but it did need to be evened out.

Mommy can we clean the house PLEASE

Alstan loves "mopping" the floor. Really it is about pushing the button to dispense the cleaner, but it sure does make me aware of how much our house needs to be cleaned when he is begging to clean the house.

Sporting the Ball Cap

Elsie is fascinated with dad's ball cap. She loves taking it off and then tries to put it back on. Here we let her try Alstan's cap on to see what she thought. She wouldn't leave it on, but we still snuck in a photo of it.

Birthday Treat

These photos are a few days late, but they are of Elsie's first birthday. That night dad and mom were feeling a bit bad that we hadn't done more for her on her actual birthday. (her birthday party is scheduled for this coming Sunday) Dad went to the local grocery store to pick up a treat to help celebrate her big day. As you can tell, she loved it.

Birthday Girl

Here is Elsie's Birthday Breakfast, Fruity Cheerios! We were even able to keep the shirt clean so she can wear it at her birthday party this weekend.

Elsie's Horsie

Elsie is riding her horse she got for Christmas. She only really moves on it if the music/sound is playing, so Alstan has to push the button in the ear for her.

New Guitar

During a recent trip to Walmart, Alstan found this guitar. He informed us, "I need this to make music". Yes, mom and dad caved, so here is Alstan making music on his new guitar.

First Fort

Adam made a tunnel out of a diaper box for Alstan, but it seems to double as a fort. Alstan and Elsie spent quite a bit of time that morning crawling through it and playing together in it. (Although they haven't really played in it too much since.)
