First time sleeping in a tent

Alstan loves to play tent/camping, so dad decided to put a tent up in his room. Alstan actually did a good job of going to sleep in it. How much sleep dad got might be debatable.

Almost standing on her own

Although these are way over due, here are the stats from Elsie's 6 month check up. She was 25" long putting her in the 23% for height and 17 lb. 11oz. which put her in the 81st percentile for weight.

Here are some more pictures from our day at Devils Lake with Aunt Sandy and Aunt Nette.

Another Tooth

Elsie barely broke the skin with her first tooth before her second tooth came in.

First Tooth

It's just coming in, but Elsie has her first tooth! Her gums have been swollen and she's been struggling to sleep at night. With a bit of squinting you can see where the tooth is, and you can definitely feel it now.

Click on the bottom picture to enlarge it. You should be able to see the tooth when the picture is big.

Silly Hats

Alstan decided two hats are better than one. When I brought out the camera, he would not look over either. He just stared at the TV like I wasn't there. Little Stinker!

Lazy Summer Day

It's great to be able to take a little nap with our little girl. Summer is already almost over and there won't be many more afternoon naps on the couch.

Rice Cereal?

I get rice cereal for my half birthday and Alstan gets cake? So not fair!

Half Year Party

We only do the half year party once, and Alstan was more than happy to join in. We had hats, noise makers and a little cake to celebrate Elsie being in our world for six months already.

Elsie's Eating!

We waited until Elsie's six month birthday before we had her try food. She was a little unsure of the rice cereal in her first couple of tries. She is already getting the hang of it though.

Videos, Videos, Videos

I have been way behind posting videos, so I'm going to use one post to catch up on several cute (I think anyway, and I know I'm biased)videos.

Alstan is an arm rubber, that is for sure. Every time he has something to drink he sits down with Mom or Dad to rub their arm. Here he decided to rub Elsie's arm instead.

Alstan's cute hair and talking as he play. He has had his toys having all kinds of dialog lately. They ask each other questions and he has them answer. It's really fun to watch.

Happy half-birthday to Elsie!

If you only have time for one, watch this one! Elsie smiles all the time to everyone, but getting her to laugh is a little more work. Here Alstan gets her laughing.

Elsie in her jumper. She's more of relaxed bouncer, but Alstan still bounces around like he did when he was Elsie's age.

Money

Here is the first of many times where Elsie reaches into Dad's wallet for money.

New Stroller

Alstan is helping Dad assemble Mom's new double stroller. She has been working on getting a double stroller since before Elsie was even born. She was right on this one too. It has been a nice addition to our stroller collection on the front porch.

Elsie's at the Beach

Elsie, Alstan, and Mom went to Devil's Lake for a day at the beach with Sandy and Janette. Elsie may be young, but she was old enough to play in the water a bit too.

Casper the Friendly Ghost

When mom is in charge of the day at the beach Alstan does not have to worry about the sun. As you can see, Alstan a bit like a ghost in this picture with all the sun tan lotion.

p.s. When the beach pictures come up, check to see how much sun there is that day.

Alstan the Lion

Grandma Van gave Alstan a lion costume and he was very excited about it. He put in on and was roaring around the house. He was really putting on a show and even had to check himself out to see how scary of a lion he could be.
