The bath tub crayons mom bought while Christmas shopping on Friday were a big hit.

Christmas Decorating

Alstan kinda helped mom decorate for the holidays this past weekend. Mostly he just played with the beads and ran around, but we had a great time. I'm starting to think ornaments that look like candy may not have been the best idea.

Japanese Dinner Out

Alstan is trying all sorts of new foods. Recently he tried Chicken Teriyaki at the hibachi table with extended family. He did great until they lit the fire. That scared him a bit. Once he was back in mom's lap he was fine though.

Sunday Afternoon

After church on Sunday, Grandpa Zielicke took us out to eat at Burger King. Alstan had his first Happy Meal. Here he is swaying to music with mom and Aunt Nette.

McDonald's Playland

Hopefully Dodgeville doesn't ban the McDonald's Playland like San Fransisco banned the Happy Meal toy. I have a feeling we'll be stopping at the Playland a few times this winter to burn off some energy.

Not All Peaches and Cream

I didn't want the blog to seem like everything is ALWAYS peachy (although it is most the time). Here we were trying to get him to sing his "Clean-Up Song" when he decided to do his Mine, Mine yell.

Silly Momma and Dadda

Alstan has started saying that Mamma and Dadda are silly. He loves to see us overreact and say we are not silly. I'm sure he'll be calling us silly again when he's a teenager.

Reading

Here is Alstan reading the owner's manual. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before he realizes that we just skip the owner's manual and try to wing it.

Christmas List

It looks like Alstan is making out his Christmas wish list already. Any time we get a toy catalog now, he loves to page through it looking at the toys.

Alstan has really taken to playing with this toy lately, and it seems dad has too. I can't tell you which one is concentrating more based on the top photo.

Alstan has really gotten into coloring on his big pad of paper. (It seems we can never put it away!) Here the whole family got in on the fun.

Halloween

Halloween 2010

Here are Alstan's Halloween pictures. We went around the neighborhood and really got the hang of it. He'd run from one house to the next to get his candy. Before we went he would say, "trick or treat", but he didn't say it at any of the houses. He did, however, tell everyone, "thank you!"

Fall Leaves

The family went out before Halloween to rake leaves. We had strong winds (over 50 miles per hour) for a couple of days during the week and leaves from the Gundry House blew into our yard. It was quite the pile we had and Alstan helped the whole time!
