New Toy

No need to spend lots of money on toys, Alstan loves to play with boxes. Whenever we get a box in the mail he wants to climb on it or in it. We saved his diaper box so he can hide in it or drive it.

Also, notice that he's now wearing big boy pull-ups. When he sees pictures of himself on the computer he calls them "boy" or "big boy" instead of "baby". He's also enjoying sitting on his potty, but he's not actually going potty yet.

Ladder

While Dad was changing the light bulbs Alstan thought it'd be a good idea if he climbed the ladder too. Before the last step he seemed to get a little bit nervous to climb up. Hopefully, he doesn't get Dad's fear of heights (I was planning on him clearing snow off the roof and cleaning gutters in 10 years).

Busted!

I knew Alstan would grow up quickly, but I didn't think I'd catch him looking at Mom's Victoria Secrets magazines already!

New Friend

When we went shopping, we saw a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal on sale. We were going to save it until Christmas, but it didn't make it. He carried it all through the mall even if it is as big as him. He likes to watch Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse on T.V. and now has his own mouse which he likes to carry around at the same time as Curious George.

New Bath Toys

Alstan decided that he needed new bath toys and in went his tractors. He likes to play with his tractors all the time and has been taking them with him to daycare too. I hope he's sharing!

Also, this week I'm going to try something new with the blog. Since I have only been posting on the weekends I'm going to delay my posts coming up on the blog. This week I'll have a new post come up each day starting at 8 a.m. on Monday. Each day there will be a new post until Saturday. So tune in!

Gone Country

Here's a group of pictures of Alstan at the farm this summer. Two of his favorite words are cow and tractor too. The big video for 12-18 months should be on the way this weekend.

Happy Little Boy

Just a simple picture of our happy little boy. He must be this happy because he's going to be a big brother!

Also, look at gums in the lower left hand side and you'll see another tooth coming in. He had been stuck at eight teeth for a long time.

Eating Sandwiches Too

Since Mom had so much success giving Alstan pizza I figured I would try making him a sandwich instead of just lunch meat. He did a pretty good job, but eventually just started pulling the lunch meat out of the sandwich.

Eating Pizza

Mom cut up pizza for Alstan, but he had no interest in those little pieces. Besides, Mom and Dad don't eat their pizza that way. So he ate his pizza like a big boy!

Michigan Football

It's so good to have football season back, at least that's what Dad thinks. I know Mom doesn't agree and yesterday Alstan wasn't too happy that Dad kept on the Michigan game because he wanted to watch Mickey Mouse. He says "Mouse" when he wants Mickey Mouse.

Football Game

Last weekend Alstan went to his first football game. It wasn't a Badger game like his jersey, but it was the same colors - Iowa-Grant. We barely got to watch any of the game though as it was supposed to start at 7:00, but there were no referees. The game didn't start until 8:30! Way past his bedtime, but we did stay for the first quarter before heading home.

He loved running in the grass and when the game started a couple of I-G students played with him in the stands. He was pretty unsure of the cowbells that one of the ladies was ringing.

I kind of had a hard time with the Wisconsin jersey and On Wisconsin! music, so I'll put up another image with him in his Michigan outfit this weekend.

Cupcake

Alstan got his cupcake eating habits from his dad. Eat all the frosting and leave the cupcake itself. Two boys at daycare are moving so Alstan got cupcakes as a treat.

Counting

Here is Alstan counting his tractors. There are lots of two, twos, two, but sometimes there is a three too.
